A Fresh Morning

Yesterday night, rain poured and poured. Fierce winds, thunder, lightning, and cold winds. When I woke up in the morning, I saw flowers crushed on the ground, twigs, branches, and also how nature was recovering from the storm. This is a poem I wrote a few months ago which shows how nature regains its life back...

A Fresh Morning

The first rays of the sun
Hit the dewy frozen cars
Sprinkles of the fresh beam
Washed down the lush plants

Orange blankets replaced
Deep blue ones of the fiery night
The fluffy white clouds took back their place
Trees stood up and waved at the
Awaken city

Children running to school stopped
To acquaint the Earth
The fresh soil slithered happily
Looking at her good old friends

The birds twittering cheerfully
Brooding over the horrid storm
The strong petrichor
Leashed them to their memories
How the lost their homes
Or said goodbye to a friend

They prayed to thee
To release their thoughts
And take a happy step into the future
The Lord indeed responded
Removed the thunderous petrichor
With the sweet scent of a
Pleasant dawn…
