Christmas

 Merry Christmas 2020!! This year has been different in all ways, so have the festivals. Decking up in PPE just to rejoice!!! Who would have thought about that😜??! However, even amidst all of this, Festivals have their own way of vanquishing sorrow and fear by bringing pomp!!! Spending time with friends and family, having tasty meals, playing- Isn't that stupendous? Being safely tucked in at home is what makes not only Christmas but all other festivals fantastic! As we also approach the end of this 'roller coaster' year, this festival fills everyone with hope, that next year will be fabulous!!😉

May this Christmas bring warmth and happiness in your lives! Stay home, Stay safe! 🎅🎄 

I had written this poem two years ago which was published in the student edition of Deccan Herald. 😀

 Christmas

The day of ringing bells,

Ice caped towns,

Sweet sounds of carols

And ornaments on the pine,

The day to rejoice,

Of the Lord’s birth,

A day to show mercy,

And cover up all our sins,

Children await,

For Santa to alight,

He brings yummy candies,

And lovely little gifts.
